Junior Program

CLLC’s Junior Program helps students aged 5-18 prepare and feel more confident about their English skills and to help them adapt more quickly to their classes in English and/or the Canadian school system.
A variety of subjects and topics are covered that will support student learning in the classroom. Students study 1 hour per day from Monday to Thursday. Like CLLC’s other programs, this program provides students with quality English language virtual instruction. Students will learn and review concepts and ideas from a variety of subjects, including English Language, Health Education, Music, Science, Social Studies, and Visual Arts. Students will learn a subject and a second language at the same time.

The content has been chosen based on expected student outcomes of the Canadian school system. Each outcome will be explored for 4 weeks (16 hours of class time). Topics will be introduced, explored, and practiced. There will be a focus on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). It is an approach where students learn a subject and a second language at the same time.
